First Look AI is a community learning circle hosted in Langhorne, PA. Each session is part presentation, part hands-on activity, and part honest conversation about what AI can and can’t do for you.
We keep groups small on purpose. Twelve people means everyone gets heard, nobody falls behind, and the conversation stays real.

Why First Look AI began
Founder Phyllis H. Parker, Ph.D., a psychologist, started First Look AI to help people build confidence with technology. The program brings that goal together with creative opportunity and a commitment to faith and community.
The first successful course was held at Keller Williams Training Center, with 15 students and five classes. We continue building on a beginner-friendly approach: clear explanations, real questions, and time to practice.

A goal to work toward
Earn a First Look AI Certificate of Completion.
Students will earn a First Look AI Certificate of Completion after completing the required classwork for all five sessions, answering all 10 beginner quiz questions correctly, and completing five approved projects.
1. Complete the classwork
Complete the required work for all five sessions. If a student misses a live class, the class is not repeated, but the student may review the class outline and handouts and complete the assigned work independently.
2. Complete the beginner quiz
Take the 10-question online quiz. Each question includes an explanation, and students may try again after an incorrect answer.
3. Complete five projects
Choose five simple projects from the suggested list—or propose another beginner project. The First Look AI team will review each student’s completed projects.
When certificates are presented
All required classwork, quiz questions, and projects must be completed before the certificate is issued.
Certificates may be presented at a follow-up recognition gathering when one is scheduled. Students who cannot attend—or when no gathering is held—will receive their certificate by email.
The First Look AI Certificate of Completion recognizes successful participation in this beginner program. It is not an academic degree, professional license, or industry certification.

Five-class packages include a 10% discount. Tuition includes digital class materials, guided practice, and help during class. Printed workbooks are priced separately. The complete beginner course includes quiz and project review for the Certificate of Completion. Students must meet the completion requirements.

A few things to know.
Do I need technical experience?
No. Our introductory classes are designed for beginners. Bring your questions and a willingness to practice.
What device should I bring?
Bring a fully charged laptop, phone, or tablet. A laptop may be easier for longer writing tasks, but you can begin on your phone.
Which AI tool do I need?
We work with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity. You do not need all four. Any account or access requirements for a particular session will be included with its class details.
When and where is the next class, and what does it cost?
Each class lasts 90 minutes. Group classes are $40 per student, or $180 for five classes. Private lessons are $120, or $540 for five classes. Dates and location are still to be confirmed. Join the interest list for details; joining does not reserve a seat.
What can I create?
Introductory practice includes messages, outlines, and everyday writing. Our gallery shows additional design and artwork possibilities; the activities offered depend on the class.
Can I receive a certificate after the classes?
Yes. Students will earn a First Look AI Certificate of Completion after completing the required classwork for all five sessions, answering all 10 quiz questions correctly, and completing five approved projects reviewed by the First Look AI team. A missed live class is not repeated, but the student may review the class outline and handouts and complete the assigned work independently. Certificates may be presented at a recognition gathering or delivered by email.
Can I learn about publishing a book?
Yes. The Authors & Publishing Academy introduces developing a book and exploring Amazon Kindle, e-books, and audiobook options.
Will my work appear in the gallery?
Only with your permission. You may choose whether to share your work and whether your name appears.
